Loved to Pieces – A Collection of Firsts

Loved to Pieces – A Collection of Firsts

Posted on April 23, 2018March 30, 2020 by Mathew Boudreaux

As many of y’all know, my very first fabric collection as an Angles Designer with Art Gallery Fabrics is called Loved to Pieces, inspired by both my love of English Paper Piecing and my love of my daughter Helena. As my first fabric collection, I knew that the only way that I would make sure to make a kick booty first impression was if I pulled from very personal inspiration points and shared as much of myself with y’all as I could. So when my strike offs showed up at my doorstep, I knew that I had to film the moment to share it with y’all since I wouldn’t be able to do it real time. So click on this link or the picture below to watch my fabrics up close and to hear about some of these inspirations.

And continuing the theme of firsts, my very first project using Loved to Pieces is this Zippered Box Pouch using my Reap and Sew Azul Print.

Wow, thanks for sharing your fabrics with us. They are simply lovely, but the inspirations behind the fabric designs make them quite extraordinary. I can’t wait to see them in person. As usual, your video was great. Don’t ever change Matthew.

Those are some beautiful fabric designs! Before you shared the inspiration, I sat here commenting audibly on those two that were from the rocks you collected. That dark print is striking and rich. It was interesting to hear your spring boards for creating the designs. Thank you for making it personal.
