Insulated Lunch Box

Insulated Lunch Box (w/ video tutorial)

This video will show you the basics of sewing your very own insulated lunch box. Whether for actual lunch or storage for supplies, this box is destined for fame as you or your littles strut around town with this in hand.

Here is the fabric cut and supply list. If you are making this for a grown up, I would do 10″ x 2″ rectangles for the handles and adjust the Insul-Bright accordingly.

While I don’t promote anything unless I legit love it, this post contains affiliate links.

    Dear Matthew,

Thank you for the lunchbag tutorial and supply list. After watching and reading I still have a question, because there seems tot be a difference between the video and the list of measurements.

The lining of the big squares is 1,0″ smaller then the big squares of the fabric according to the supply list, however in the video they seem tot be equal in size. Can you help me out?

    Thank you in advance,
    Esther

They aren’t equal size in the video. They were the same cuts that I shared in the supply list.

Checked out your video on the lunch box, it looked so complicated and difficult to sew I would not attempt it. However, you made it fun and I enjoyed it and I learned how to take care of corners. Thank you. thumbs up!!!!

Hey, I was planning on making this for a friend for x-mas. I have a 28 in parka zipper, how should I change the dimensions?

OMG! I love your tutorial. You are totally all over the place and excited ??? (just like me ??) and the noises you make… so awesome ?

I have a question: why is the insul-bright smaller then the fabric? In the video it looks the same size.

    (Sorry if I have misspelled something – I’m from Denmark ?? ?)

What are the interior dimensions once it is fully assembled? I am trying to figure how much I need to increase to put kid’s 9.2″ bento container in this lunchbox.
