Range Backpack made by Cecilia Sullivan

Posted on June 21, 2018April 4, 2024 by Mathew Boudreaux

Ceci of @cecivas is a phenomenal maker. Like oh em gee phenomenal. She made this Noodlehead Range Backpack for my market booth and I was blown away by both her speed and the quality of this make. Like she received the fabric on Friday and the backpack was in the mail Saturday. And like these fabrics are more in Helena’s pallet, but like I love this backpack so much that I’m gonna work it for a while and maybe she’ll get it in middle school or something.

Now let’s get to know Ceci a little more:

Hello! My name is Cecilia. I started sewing four years ago. My kids took a couple sewing classes and were making cute outfits. I was curious about sewing but was intimidated by the idea of using a sewing machine, so I signed up for a Tote class and haven’t looked back. I found my niche in quilting but do not constrain my self to just quilting. I like to do bags, pouches, and have recently started sewing garments. I enjoy sharing my sewing on instagram and being inspired by all the great creations other quilters post. I like to participate in Swaps on Instagram which force me to learn new skills while being introduced to a network of great quilters.

Through building my network I have been lucky enough to test multiple patterns and sew for three markets in the last year. There is nothing quite like seeing your work on display! Recently I have been actively teaching multiple classes at Finch Sewing Studio and help to lead the quilting club. I have an Etsy shop featuring bags, pouches and other items I sew. www.cecivascreation.etsy.com

When I saw Mathew’s Loved to Pieces fabric I thought it was a gorgeous line and all I wanted was to sew something cute with it. I offered to sew the Range Bagpack by Noodle Head. I chosen the Mandala Drop Iris Blue for the exterior, the Efflorescent Fuschsia Magenta for the straps to complement the pink dots of the Mandala and for the lining I used Striped Flow Rainbow Pink. I really love how cute this bag is.

Have I told y’all how much I love this bag? L.O.V.E. Like check out the details. Loooooooove…..

Thank you Cecilia from the bottom of my heart for being a part of my Loved to Pieces journey.
